Place the craft sticks on the back of the hole and secure them with wood glue.
Patch hole in wood siding.
Tap the pry bar up under the undamaged siding at each nail shaft then push the bar gently.
Fill the siding holes with wood filler.
Mix it with just a bit of superglue.
With luck the nails will pull out a bit so that when you tap the board back the nailheads will pop out just enough to get the pry bar under them.
Step 4 hold the knife roughly perpendicular to the siding patch to finish the surface of the patch and taper out the edges of the mortar patch blending it into the surrounding siding.
Apply the patch product to the damaged area with the flexible putty knife to fill in any indentations or holes.

If you intend to paint the patched area to match the siding use pre mixed bridging and patching compound sold at paint stores and home improvement centers.
The butt edge nails in the siding above the patch also need to come out.
Should be filled with an epoxy filler or bondo.
If you re filling a hole in a cabinet wall or a wardrobe place the craft sticks on the inside of the hole.
You don t need a lot of glue just enough to bind the sawdust together and create a thick paste.
Scrape away any excess with the putty knife when you re done and allow it to air dry.
If your exterior siding has sustained damage you can patch it with filler but it has to be the right kind of filler.
To patch wood using this method you ll need sawdust from the specific wood you are patching.
How to repair holes in wood siding.
Any product intended for interior use will crack and wash out in short order.
Use a putty knife to push the mixture into the nail holes quickly since superglue dries so quickly.
Epoxy putty is a commonly recommended wood filler for use in repairing woodpecker damage.
Insert the shim edgewise into the hole.
Use a putty knife to force the filler inside the hole making sure to fill in the hole and to completely cover the opening.
Put a couple of drops of wood glue on each end of the shim and allow the glue to set for up to 5 minutes.
For repairs that will match natural wood siding you ll want to use stainable wood putty.
You should lay the craft sticks on the side they won t be seen from.
Place the glue around the border of the hole in your wood.
The type of filler follows the size of the patch.
Any holes and gouges larger than 1 2 in.
