You can easily restore the original color and finish to look new again without all the problems of painting. Since any of this is clearly bad for your metal siding it is vital that you re paint your metal siding. To clean steel siding add trisodium phosphate or tsp to the paint sprayer and clean off any grime with it. Paint the steel siding panels using the sprayer. If there is any rust on the steel apply a rust converter over the siding which will turn the rust into a black substance you can easily clean off.

Finally since metal is such a good heat absorber avoid painting siding while it s getting direct sunlight. If you wiped your hand across it you d draw back a dirty yellow palm. A pressure washer with a detergent tank is a good tool for removing chalk from the old paint surface. Begin by thoroughly cleaning your siding of all loose dirt chalk and other contaminants.

Use the ladder for painting the steel siding on the top and using the roller paint in a horizontal direction.
